Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is pleased to announce that overall student satisfaction for our taught students at BNU has increased by 10% to 80% (sector benchmark: 76.5%) in the 2022 National Student Survey (NSS).

We are particularly delighted to announce that we have achieved the 5th top position for overall student satisfaction among universities in the UK.*

BNU now ranks in the top 25 nationally for student satisfaction in six of the National Student Survey’s eight key question themes:

  • 2nd for Learning Community;

  • 7th for satisfaction with assessment and feedback;

  • 10th for learning opportunities;

  • 11th for Student Voice;

  • 20th for student satisfaction with organisation and management; and

  • 25th for student satisfaction for the teaching on my course.

Bucks Students’ Union also rose three places to rank 2nd in the UK.

Professor Nick Braisby, Vice-Chancellor at BNU said:

" I am hugely proud of these results, which are a testament to the hard work of every University colleague. Student satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do at BNU, and I’m delighted to see from our NSS results that our students recognise our commitment to always do our best by them. And so, it’s great to see BNU rank as a top 25 university for our teaching, feedback and the learning opportunities we provide, as well as for creating a welcoming and inclusive community where every student’s voice is heard.”

"At BNU we pride ourselves on transforming lives through employment-focused and skills-based education which enables students from all backgrounds to achieve their ambitions. I want to thank all my BNU colleagues for all that they do to support our students to succeed, and for their tireless efforts to ensure we delivered face-to-face teaching from the very start of this academic year.

“Congratulations to Bucks Students’ Union, with whom we are proud to work in partnership, for their achievement in ranking 2nd in the UK.”
