Why study this subject?

In a rapidly changing technological world where Artificial Intelligence becomes more widespread, it is imperative that businesses use data to support their decision-making to ensure the success of their organisation.

A degree in Business Management and Information Technology equips you with technical ability, data and human discipline and prepares you for this type of scenario.

If you’re looking to develop a good understanding of Business Management in a changing world of volatility, uncertainty and change, but also appreciate the role IT and data can have in that ambiguous business setting, then a degree in Business Management and Information Technology could be for you.

Why study at Buckinghamshire New University?

Carefully shaped to meet industry needs, our degree in Business Management and Information Technology will help enable you to combine technical skills with high level business knowledge.

On this course, you will acquire a wide range of skills and competencies that are useful for efficiently handling real-life, practical problems. You will also develop your ability to think critically and will be able to analyse and evaluate solutions to complex scenarios.

How will I be taught and assessed?

This course is offered as a four-year programme, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree.

Many of our staff are guest lecturers, conference speakers and content contributors so you’ll be learning from real leaders in their fields.

We also welcome a wealth of guest speakers; top professionals from across industry come to Buckinghamshire New University to help you understand how your degree applies to working in business, and how you can learn from their experiences.

Throughout your studies you’ll hear stories from people working in businesses of all sizes. This gives you the chance to learn about various job functions and different corporate cultures, and ultimately, your regular exposure to industry helps make you employable from the moment you graduate.

With small classes, you’ll get the chance to interact with peers and lecturers to develop your skills and, through our strong links with industry, you’ll be able to transition seamlessly from student to professional.
