Foundation Year Entry Requirements

Academic entry requirements

We require successful completion of a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 with an overall average of 60% or above.

Mathematics entry requirements

Students need the equivalent of GCSE Mathematics grade C/4.

English language requirements

Students are not required to provide an English Certificate if:

  • They achieve a score of 70% or above on the English Language subject of a Senior School Certificate Examination from the Central Board of Second Education (CBSE)
  • They achieve a score of 75% or above on the English Language subject of an Indian School Certificate (Class 12) from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

These subjects need to have been studied within the past 5 academic years.

Any applicants who do not meet these requirements need to provide a valid English certificate as detailed here. These certificates need to be studied within the past 2 academic years.

 

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic entry requirements

We require successful completion of a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 with an overall average of 65% or above.

If you do not meet these requirements you may be eligible to study our foundation programme. Please send copies of your qualifications directly to us at admissions@bucks.ac.uk.

English language requirements

Students are not required to provide an English Certificate if:

  • They achieve a score of 75% or above on the English Language subject of a Senior School Certificate Examination from the Central Board of Second Education (CBSE)
  • They achieve a score of 90% or above on the English Language subject of an Indian School Certificate (Class 12) from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

We require successful completion of a Bachelor degree with an overall pass or above from a UK NARIC-recognised institution.

Mathematics entry requirements

Students need the equivalent of GCSE Mathematics grade C/4.

English language requirements

Students are not required to provide an English Certificate if:

  • They achieve a score of 75% or above on the English Language subject of a Senior School Certificate Examination from the Central Board of Second Education (CBSE)
  • They achieve a score of 90% or above on the English Language subject of an Indian School Certificate (Class 12) from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

Please note that the entry criteria detailed below is for the majority of courses, however some courses such as BSc (Hons) NursingBSc (Hons) Professional Practice (Healthcare)BSc (Hons) Social Work and BA (Hons) Air Transport with Commercial Pilot may require higher academic and English levels.
