Samuel Asante-Nnuro
I have always been an entrepreneur, cultivating industry experience while establishing and managing many companies from consultancies, media organisations, start-ups through to executing government contracts. I have also worked in the HM Forces, within supply chain and the charitable sector. Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2015, I was with University College London (UCL).
I studied for my BA in Business Management at Kingston University, London and went on to complete a master’s degree in Management. I also hold a Master of Laws degree from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen Business School, and a PCTHE from Queen Mary, University of London. I also hold a postgraduate diploma in management studies from London’s South Bank University, a postgraduate certificate in Arbitration from The Robert Gordon University, a graduate certificate in management studies from Aberdeen Business School as well as a certificate in environmental health from Land Command School, Germany.
In addition to these qualifications, I also hold a doctoral level 8 qualification in strategy and leadership and a level 7 executive diploma in management from the Chartered Management Institute. I have also defended my PhD at Queen Mary, University of London with few corrections to be submitted. My specialist area of interest is in areas of equality, diversity and inclusion, especially in power and bureaucratic organisations. I am also interested in organisational strategy and leadership.
I am a member of Advanced HE (formerly Higher Education Academy), a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a graduate member of the Energy Institute.
My specialist knowledge has led me to work with many influential organisations across different industries including the Ministry of Defence and multiple Russel Group universities. I also have enormous passion for charitable work and I currently support over 15 charities in the UK as well as being the chairman of The Commonwealth Legion, a community interest company supporting members of the armed forces community, especially those of commonwealth descent.
My greatest accolade is becoming one of the youngest chartered fellow managers in the United Kingdom.
